There will be several ball types to choose from which will bounce in a different way and we will have edit the timing and max bounce height according to how each ball bounce. The ball types we have to animate are: beachball, bowling, pingpong, soccer and a stretch ball (plain ball animation but apply squish and stretch). The visual novel is immediately discourage due to the lack of project potential and it's not really enough. For this project, we are to get into a group and do both topic presentations and a short animated video as the end result. Once we found our group, we start to have discussion on what topic we should do. Everyone gets to suggest a topic to do, and everyone votes which topic to choose. We come down to three topics that stands out. Information Design 03.2.2025 - 21.3.2025 Johnny Lam Wee Zhe (0363436) Bachelor of Design in Creative Media Project 1 - Animated Infographic For this project, we are tasked with selecting a pre-existing poster that is either bad or a poster that can still be improved. I have a few candidates to select from but I decide to pick this particular poster to improve upon.   Fig 1. You Are A Target The reason I choose this particular poster is that this poster has blocks of sentences and gives out a lot of information in one poster. In addition, the different colors of the poster are very saturated and clashes with one another. This causes the poster to pull attentions of viewers into multiple attention.  The first thing I do is to look for reference of other poster in order to get an idea on what the poster should look like. Information Design 03.2.2025 - 21.3.2025 Johnny Lam Wee Zhe (0363436) Bachelor of Design in Creative Media EXERCISE 1 - QUANTIFIABLE INFORMATION For the first exercise of information design, we are to buy sort-able objects such colored candies, clips, lego brick etc and sort them out into several stages of graphs. For this particular project, I am using skittles to sort them into posters.   Once I have gather all of the skittle onto a large A3 paper, I sorted each of them into different color and here is what I have gathered.   Fig 1.1 Sorted Data   Once I have sorted them, I rearranged them into different shapes to ensure it looks much more neater. Animatics are essentially storyboards that are animated. This is the final stage before reaching the beginning of a finishes product. Before I even start creating an animatic, I would have to first draw the sketch up and a storyboard. SKETCH UP I must admit, I don't really draw that much of a sketch up here. I only did small bits of a sketch up before simply getting straight towards the storyboard.
