REFLECTIONS

Experience

Advanced Typography as a whole is often described as an extension to Typography, and that is said to be true. It feels less like a sequel to Typography and more like a two parts of a huge movie. All the thing I have learnt from typography is still relevant to advanced typography. Despite it all, I have still yet to grasp the interest that I have observe other's gain from typography. Perhaps I am too young, perhaps I have not yet to reach the highest point of maturity. I may even develop passion for typography as I get older. What I do get though, is that typography is still on of the important aspect of design regardless of what specialization you chose. Whether that's UI/UX, graphic design, entertainment design and even, animation.

Observation

Throughout advanced typography, I have notice how useful it is to have a visual guidance can help with the submission of any work. It can either an e portfolio of someone else that let's you just what to fill in for your blog or a reference image that helps you by giving you elements that you can for your work (but not copying the whole imagery as your work). Many of the designs out there are not completely original, at some point, the things you have created would be based on either what you are referring to or the memory of what you have seen. Only make worse when there millions of designs out there.

Findings

I find that one of the most challenging parts of this module isn't a creative nor has anything to do with this module as a whole directly. Instead, it is more of a technical difficulty that I have face throughout this module. An example of that would be the accessibility to font labs that I have point out in Task 3 blog, only solved by using alternate font labs and tutorials. A side from that, one of the more notable technical challenge came in task 2 in particular that involves mainly with Instagram. I find difficulty with uploading GIFs onto Instagram as well as graphic exported directly from Adobe Illustrator.
