EXERCISE

Exercise 1 - Equalizer Exercise

For our first exercise, we are tasked with applying an equalizer onto three given audio clips and readjust them according to the flat audio which is also provided.

For each of the audios, a screenshot of the adjustment made will have to be captured. Here are the adjustment for each audio.

Exercise 3

In the last exercise of this blog, we are given two images of an environment.

From here, we are to identify the sounds that can be heard in such an environment. Here are the list I have made to identify the sound from each environment.

Then according to the list of sounds that we identified, we will then download audio from a copyright free website. Here is the link to the website: https://freesound.org/

This all the raw sound I have downloaded from the site: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16lLd31iftN61cLELutXDqaCyTLUHBjx-?usp=sharing

After, I went ahead and combine or the ambient sound I have collected and makes adjustment according to how I see fit and here is the result:

REFLECTION

I personally find sonic design as one of the more interesting module I have taken. Starting off this exercise does help me revise what I have learnt in my previous semester as well as introducing some thing new too such as panning. This taught has also remind me of important lesson about keeping an eye out on potential sounds that may not be directly shown in the image.
