PROJECT 3: STOP-MOTION ANIMATION
The first stage of the final project for video and sounds production module is to start planning the content of the project and how it can execute. The default topic for this project is Climate Change but we allow to pick any other topic as long as it interesting and approved by Mr. Martin. Both me and Ameera does not find the topic inspiring considering how over-saturated the topic so we set it aside on our list and came with a few other ideas.
So we came up with five topic that we find interesting or ones that we want to
consider. At some point, we have came up with a cooking video theme and horror
theme and have decide to combine the two as an idea.
From there, we develop the theme further into the three various summary to
choose from and give it a more cohesive story details to choose from.
From there, my teamwork Ameera wrote down a script from various pieces of the summaries and give it a more in-depth story. Here is the link of the script written:

From there, I drew out a storyboard frame by frame on how the final project looks like. The storyboard will also be base on the character sketches Ameera has sketch out.

PRE-PRODUCTION
After the planning is done, we get into the next stage of the project which is to set up the props, characters and settings. We bought clay, cardboard and manila cards to create them.
Here are the behind the scenes picture of the process:
It takes about two days of shooting to complete the shoot of all the storyboards. After I wrapped up the shoot, I send the link to the folder of raw clips to her for the post production editing process.

REFLECTION
Of all the other projects in this module, this is the most expensive of them but it is rather fun at the same time to move the puppet. The only major obstacle here is that the puppets tend to fall apart during shooting and is rather difficult to move the body part freely. Since both me and Ameera has never done a claymation before, this is rather new to us and we may not know a thing about creating an affective puppet or have a tool for it. By teaming up with someone else, it also teaches me how to work in a group of two in which gaining the that knowledge would help me in the future.
