Feedback
Week 2
No feedback. Assignment is being briefed.
Week 3
Specific Feedback - Determine the specific aim you have for procedural
animation. If you want for go for animation, watch the popular animations in
the media. Seek applicability for the future role as an animator. Example of
realistic elements in stylized animation. Compare and contrast what is missing
from a certain film. Topic is still big, need to narrow it down. Find the
paper involved with this topic.
Week 4
Specific Feedback - Animation is not related to video games as
animation is a more linear experience. Video games as a topic is not specific.
Take the liberty to go across and see research about the uncanny valley
applied to video games.
Week 5
Data can't be found
Week 6
No Tutorial
Week 7
Specific Feedback - You have nothing substantial, you will have a
problem. Tweak the topic a bit more and focus on realistic animation. Find out
what is the challenge of creating realistic animation to choose from an
article. Read, search and find the article. Be flexible and shift your topic
without compromising your motivation/interest.
Week 8
Independent Study Week
Week 9
Specific Feedback - Objective is good, just add 'to' at the beginning
of each objectives. Scroll through hiring website to look for potential
interviewee. Search their name in other platforms. Look for member involved
in ANIMAS. Use the sample email format to send to potential interviewee.
When picking participant, do not call the target audience as 'the general
public' and focus on a group rather than selecting randomly. Write down the
instrument first before reaching out to experts.
Week 10
Specific Feedback - If you want to solve your objectives, go talk to the
animators. Need to compare and contrast between different point of view. Do
not create a question within a question and number the question. Sometimes
interviewee does not want to meet and only willing to do the interviewee.
Give them open ended questions. Anticipate that people can really be
different. Be appreciative during the interview. It's better for participant
to be involved in a group rather than doing it one by one.
Week 11
Absent
Week 12
Specific Feedback - Don't procrastinate too much. Take the email
template and use for your own use. You have to go ahead and send the
interview request. You never know whether they would accept it or not if you
don’t try.
Week 13
General Feedback - Don’t have to pick all critical review
Specific Feedback - Send a reminder to the potential interviewee. Looks for more potential interviewees in UCLA and VFS. Look out for videos uploaded by people from the aforementioned UCLA and VFS. Add question numbers to your quantitative form and rephrase your question to more descriptive and formal words.

Week 14
Specific Feedback - What you can do now is to contact the animation
lecturer and ask him for an animation senior student to fill in the form of
the survey and maybe post them on Reddit. Over the semester break, try to get
at least one interviewee's statement.
