INSTRUCTIONS

 

PROJECT 1 - PROTOTYPE DESIGN

Process and Digitization

For the first project of interactive design, I am tasked with creating the prototype of the resume. To begin with the process of creating the resume, I start out by looking at the digital resume to get some ideas on what content to put on the resume and how the design should look.

I begin my sketches on the direction I want to take for the look I'm going for. I sketch up to five types of resume style. Some of the are simplistic while the others are much more complex with animation that may requires java script.

In the end, I decide to choose the look of the style on the left side of sketch 2 and begin my digitization process on figma. I start by directly digitizing from the sketches directly with some sample text.

I decide to use two fonts for the resume: Baloo and Dhyana. Here are the first draft with random color placement.

The colors given in the first draft randomly selected and does not translate well in JPEG form so I went to this site: https://color.adobe.com/explore

 I decide to use this theme for the resume:

 Then, I apply the color theme into the resume and here are the results:

 

Not feeling satisfied with the result, I decide to do a rework on my digital CV and redo the overall format of the CV using the same style. Here is the sketches I have:

While reformating the CV, I discover a figma plugin called iconbuddy and decide to use it to replace some of the icons for interest.
