REFLECTION

Experience
Throughout my experience in Typography class, I have a enlightening experience. This class have shown me that everything is done with a purpose and that every aspect of the design are done in consideration. By all I mean all the aspects of design even the type of fonts you use, the weight of the font, the curvature of the letter and even the gap between words. As of this moment, I still have not reach the point where I have develop an interest, much less a passion for Typography but I do gain more respect for those who do. One thing is for certain, typography is as much as an important aspect if not, more so than any other aspect of one's design.

Observation
I have observed that we as designers has a tendency to focus more on aesthetic aspect of design more than the practicality of it all. After all, why would there be logic behind something that wouldn't work with restrictions like creativity? Now I have observe the logic behind them. I have become aware how off some of the paragraph format seems and how readable a body text is and big inconsistent gap between words.

Findings
Throughout this class, I have learn that there is process for everything. Nothing can be done and dealt with in an instance. Before this class, I didn't even realize that there is an in depth process in creating fonts. In order to do proper font, one have to experiment and figure out the feels of the kind of fonts they want. I also find that the best way for one to learn about any subject is to fail at them and analyze the mistake made.

The reason why hand writings are studies is because the first form of  the mechanical type is created based on and imitated from hand writing.
